Zoeller M-53 Sump Pump
A house we are remodeling had a leaky basement. Heavy rains finaling a few days consequenceed in an inch or extra of water within the basement. A actual mess. We obtained bids from 6 basement waterproofing companies. Five firms said they installed Zoeller M-53s because they have been probably the most reliable pump they have been aware of, and angry consumers with failed pumps were dangerous for business.
The firm we employed did an excellent job, as the basement is now bone dry despite rainstorms. The M-53 is so quiet, that unless you are near the sump basin, that you may't hear it run. It's only been a 12 months on the grounds that set up, so I cannot charge pump longevity; but to this point, it is worked simply wonderful.
The M-53 activates when the water degree depth is 7", and shuts off when the water depth is 3".

This is a stablely-built pump in an effort to last for a couple of years. It's a tried and true design that hasn't changed in years. You can get phases for it at your native Zoeller vendor to restore the unit, if you're prepared to do so. However, after a number of yrs of the use of it I can definietly say that the pump switch is the vulnerable hyperlink. My first pump change failed a year. A coworker who I advisable the pump to additionally had a swap fail after 2 yrs. The pump itself excellent, however the switch is junk. My counselation can be to get a Zoeller pump without the built-in float swap, and run an external switch. That means which you can easily replace the exterior waft switch each couple of years.

Had this pump for four 12 monthss in my house and eight yrs in my businesses ' it has by no means failed but. Those people who provide it bad overviews continuously don't have a clue to what a sump pump does, and the differing types. Zoeller's M53 shares the identical dimensions and is close toly identical to the M57. The M53 has a forged iron switch case, motor, and pump housing, a thermoplastic base, and an engineered plastic impeller with metal insert. Like the M57, it can pump 43 gallons (163L)/minute, passes half-inch strongs, and shares a 1.5" discharge. Zoeller is the industry standard: do not let any individual inform you in a unique means. It's the logo the skilleds use and the plumbers suggest. If you need the extra casing weight and prefer a cast iron impeller, get the M57.
